It's not every day you have the chance to choose your favorite from all of the available AirPods and pick them up at a discount. But that day is today: All four models of Apple's AirPods earbuds and headphones are discounted on Amazon during their early Prime Day deal sale, and they're all reaching new record low prices, according to price-checking tools.
If you're not sure which AirPods are the best fit for you, we have a breakdown of all three earbuds varieties to help make the choice a little easier. (If you want a comparison between the earbud models and the AirPods Max, you can find one here.)
The AirPods Max are rarely discounted, but you can get them for as low as $399 (originally $549). This is by far the cheapest price I've seen them reach, and it's a great opportunity to jump on them if you've been keeping tabs on it. They were released in 2020, but they are still among the best headphones you can buy if you're in the Apple ecosystem. Read more about them in PCMag's "excellent" review.
The 2nd Generation AirPods Pro are $189.99 (originally $249). These are great earbuds if you have the cash for them. This newest model, which came out in September 2023, is the first to feature charging via USB-C. They have a few new features, like adaptive transparency, but the change in the charging port is the biggest difference. You can expect solid battery life, with Apple claiming up to 30 hours of listening time on a single charge.
The 3rd Generation Apple AirPods have dropped to $139.99 (originally $169.99). These earbuds came out in 2021, and you can read more about them in PCMag's "good" review.
The 2nd Generation AirPods are $79.99 (originally $129). These are the oldest of Apple's current AirPods lineup, and were released in 2019. They received an "average" review from PCMag, which faulted them for a lack of features. Still, they are a decent entry-level buy.
