Tuesday is IHOPs 14th annual free pancake day, and this year’s theme is “Flip it forward for kids.” From 7am to 7pm on Tuesday, participating restaurants are giving away a free short stack of pancakes to anyone that wants one. In some cases, locations will stay open until 10pm for some late-night eats as well.
The deal is limited to one short stack per person; however, there’s no rule preventing you from hitting up multiple IHOP locations.
A short stack of pancakes at IHOP typically runs $5.79, and guests that score a free short stack are encouraged but not required to donate the cost of the meal (or more) to one of the children-focused charities the chain is working with this year: The Children’s Miracle Network, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Last year the chain raised $4 million.
Stores will also be selling a $5 wall icon supporting the charity between now and end of day Tuesday. That icon comes with a coupon for $5 off a future purchase of $10 or more.
And if you can’t get into an IHOP Tuesday but still want to donate, you can do so either in cash or via check at any IHOP location between now and March 31, 2019.
